Balmar regulator problems. Good point. When I turn on the ignition, the yellow LED light turns on first. Once installed, the Balmar XT-DF4-170 showed poor thermal performance. Under similar conditions and with an additional labor spent on external cooling (a 270 CFM fan ducting ambient air directly into the alternator), the Balmar was unable to sustain output even close to its rating. Does it have a battery temp sensor? If it’s cold out 0. ( the one that goes with the voltage senser) any ideas? Also I have a picture i would like to know if anyone I am in Phuket thailand . Why does Balmar only sell regulators and alternators that are designed to regulate from the 'P-Side'? I would like to use a Balmar regulator with a standard 'N-Side' alternator.
